Job-hunting? Get a bus

September 1st 2014

A bus operator is providing free transport to and from job interviews for homeless people in Kent.

Sittingbourne-based Chalkwell is working with the charity Porchlight to help people in homeless hostels.

Jo Dawes, from Porchlight, told BBC news that many in its supported accommodation project for 16- to 24-year-olds would have been unable to afford the transport costs. The charity operates 11 hostels for homeless people in Kent.
