No Shelter for offensive comedian

December 3rd 2014

Homeless charity Shelter has refused to accept any donations from a controversial TV comedian who, the charity says, is “deeply offensive about homeless people”.

Responding to a critical review of his novelty Christmas album, Dapper Laughs (aka Daniel O’Reilly) had tweeted: “As stupid as it is I made this to raise money for the homeless let's hope u haven't stopped that”.

However when the review site UsVsTh3m responded suggesting people donate to Shelter “for every crap track on Dapper’s album”, the homeless charity swiftly came out to add its support, tweeting: “Just to confirm: we won’t be accepting donations (however small!) from @dapperlaughs for reasons @UsVsTh3m make clear”.
