St Martin's update

July 7th 2009
Work has begun to make London day centre The Connection at St Martin's habitable again. Earlier this year, a service user contacted The Pavement in London to report mould, broken glass, blocked drain and unusable toilets at the centre. The services re-opened in July 2008 following 18 months of work, and although many of the users though the centre was a welcome improvement, there were "teething problems" from the start. Work is underway, The Pavement has been told, and is due to be completed next month. Colin Glover, the chief executive, has hurried along the improvements, which he agreed were very much needed. He declined to comment further, but promised a full report in time for us to report it in the next issue.
