Your rights

The Rights Guide for Rough Sleepers outlines your rights around arrest, stop and search, answering police questions, move-ons, no-drinking zones, sleeping rough, taking a pee in public and highway obstruction. It was put together by the Pavement, Housing Justice, Liberty and Zacchaeus 2000.

If your benefits have been sanctioned (cut off or reduced) and you feel this is unfair, you can appeal. Print this letter and hand it in at the office where you sign on. If you feel you need more advice about sanctions, contact   Zacchaeus 2000 or your nearest Citizen’s Advice Bureau. And let us know contact@thepavement.org.uk at the Pavement!

W@W offer Advocacy and Support for women at high risk of/or are affected by prostitution and the sex trade.Women may be offered support, signposting and help to connect with statutory services around a wide range of issues including: e.g homelessness, basic needs, drug or alcohol issues, physical and mental health, employment, benefits, training and education. During Covid-19 offering advocacy and support will be offered for all women who access our services, including Showers, laundry, food and care packages. Opening times: Monday to Friday – morning and afternoon sessions. Numbers who can access will be limited for safety, ring ahead if possible.
