Rough sleeper evicted from car park

Hampshire man moved on after the local council obtains a county court order A rough sleeper who found refuge in a multi-storey Hampshire car park has been moved on by Eastleigh Borough Council. The homeless man, who is said to be in his 30s, had been sleeping in a stairway in the car park for the last two months. After receiving a number of complaints from the public, the council made an application to a County Court Judge to get him moved on. An Eastleigh spokesperson said: "Instances of rough sleeping in the borough are rare. This was the first time a county court order had to be used to move someone."
