The homeless charity denies a violent incident at one of its Christmas venues Crisis has quashed rumours that a violent incident took place at one venue during its Crisis Christmas, London, in which police were allegedly called and operations ceased. The charity explained a senior volunteer had become ill, meaning activities arranged for Crisis Skylight had to end early, and some service users had to be transferred on mini-buses to other centres. A spokeswoman told The Pavement: "Fundamentally, we help a lot of people, but the media fail to recognise all the positive things we do." A record 8,000 volunteers welcomed hundreds of homeless guests into Crisis' nine centres across London during the Christmas period.
