Store‘s list enables the recently resettled to equip their new homes If someone has a 'list' at John Lewis, you might think they were talking wedding presents, but Thames Reach have had a list at this department store chain, and it's not about getting hitched. Individuals and businesses are being encouraged by Thames Reach to choose from a range of gifts on the John Lewis website which the company can give to the homeless organisation. A spokesman for Thames Reach told The Pavement: "The items bought by businesses and individuals will go directly to former homeless people who are moving into a flat of their own, or to help make our hostels and supported accommodation projects more welcoming and comfortable for the residents." The list, which was open until 29th June, included everything from butter-dishes to feather pillows, starting at ¬¨¬£2. Asked if this was a one-off summer event, Thames Reach said they were "checking with the organisers, Business in the Community, to check the frequency of the event."
