Auctioning cardboard boxes

A tenner for a box, and the money goes to Shelter... A designer who auctioned a cardboard box on eBay in aid of homeless charity Shelter has raised £10.49. Spike Clark created an "environmentally friendly" cardboard box, described as having no mod cons and a sky view, as part of a project with business partner Dave Campbell. Clark and Campbell, who developed a website to coincide with the auction, wanted a project that would highlight homelessness while introducing a new type of marketing training. "Our business involves training people how to effectively sell items online and the auction was used as a demonstration of the different ways of marketing ideas," said Clark.
