Crisis at Christmas 2023

Details for the Crisis at Christmas day centres for 2023, including location, opening days and what’s on. By Crisis staff, with supporting writing from the Pavement

From Sunday 24 December to Thursday 28 December 2023, Crisis is running three day centres in London. The day centres are open for anyone to attend. Each day centre will be open from 10am – 5pm and guests are asked to make their own way to the centres.

The London day centres can be found in the following locations:

  • Bermondsey: City of London Academy, 240 Lynton Road, SE1 5LA
  • Stratford: School 21, Pitchford Street, Stratford, E15 4RZ
  • Pimlico: Pimlico Academy, 36 Lupus Street, SW1V 3AT


WHAT'S ON:

Each day at the centres there will be a wide variety of activities, services and amenities on offer, including:

  • Hot meals and snacks
  • Shower facilities and toiletries
  • Advice, information and support
  • Healthcare, podiatry and opticians
  • Internet access
  • Haircuts and beard trims
  • Films, TV, games, quizzes and bingo
  • Creative workshops

To ensure the safety of all guests, Crisis at Christmas restricts the following from its day centres: Under 18s, pets, smoking, drugs, alcohol, weapons, violence. Guests do not generally stay overnight at the day centres, but there are some residential centres for people in urgent need. Speak to your outreach worker for more information.
