The Forum goes online to coordinate its activities The Soup Run Forum met on 12th June, close to The Passage, and had a good attendance, including Janet Haddington, from Westminster Council. Alastair Murray, co-ordinator of Unleash and chair of the forum, speaking about past differences with Westminster, said this was a hopeful meeting. He "believe[s] we will all look back on this meeting as a turning point, the start of a more constructive dialogue about how to create a more joined-up safety net for the vulnerable people we all want to help. Of course, there is a lot of work to do on the detail, but if we are prepared to work together in the same open spirit with the shared aims agreed at our meeting last night, there will be results." Another positive outcome of the meeting was an announcement that the forum has gone online in its quest to coordinate the efforts of runs. See what's being said at the Forum site. The next meeting is Monday 17th September; venue to be confirmed.
